The time is November 1865.  The place Herefordshire, England.  The occasion a Victorian star party where three pioneering astronomers and their families are meeting to welcome their guest from London, the dashing Arthur Ranyard.

Based on true events Heavens Above captures a flavour of time when the masses are beginning to look to the night skies with a thirst for knowledge.  The new technology of silvered-glass mirrors is revolutionising telescope design.  At the cutting edge of this innovation are Rev Henry Cooper Key, George Henry With and Rev Thomas William Webb.  Together these men are moulding the future direction of amateur astronomy across the world.  Heavens Above explores their lives through the eyes of those around them.
